Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis: Moyna's Story

erickaandersen

A Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis can hit someone very unexpectedly. Many experience a range of symptoms they aren't expecting to result in an MS diagnosis. This was the case with MS Warrior Moyna James, who isn't even a year into her MS journey.

Despite entering the year with this new information, she has taken on a positive attitude and is intent on encouraging others. When Moyna noticed there weren't many people who looked like her -- Black and Brown individuals with MS -- featured online or in informational materials, she decided to create a space for positivity, experience and encouragement on Instagram.

Listen in to our conversation with Moyna about her diagnosis, dealing with COVID while living in New York City during it, and how she copes day-to-day. We are so inspired by how she has taken action to manage her disease and offer encouragement to those in the same battle.

We are so thankful to voices like Moyna's bringing awareness and positivity to a space where millions of people are effected each day. If you have a story, we'd love to hear about it in the comments!

At MS Insight, we are a community of patient advocates fighting for access to information, education and new research. My husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and had a stroke a few years after his diagnosis. His conditions left him with problems with swallowing and burning mouth syndrome, blurred vision BUT his gait improved after starting the www. Madibaherbalcenter. com formulas which they prescribe, he started swinging his stiff arm again and could write legibly after the usage of their products. The chief of neurology at the www. Madibaherbalcenter. com always said his condition would reverse back to normal. I did not believe it until last month here after his new result.
