This week on our Influencer Insights series, we speak with Danielle, who was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago. As an active person, very committed to her physical and athletic accomplishments, Danielle wasn't going to let MS hold her back.
She discovered her condition while preparing to train for her first marathon. At first, a doctor told her she’d never be able to run again. That devastating news prompted her to seek a second opinion -- and we're so glad she did.
Thankfully, the prediction about never running again turned out not to be true. While she has not yet run that marathon, she's run plenty in the last 5 years and still has a goal of doing so. She struggles with foot drop, which is something she will have to work through in order to run a marathon.
Here, Danielle shares her story of struggle and overcoming with MS, how her wholistic approach is helpful and a little encouragement for fellow warriors.
